Freewheel Activation:
To activate the freewheel mode, follow these simple steps:
- Step one: Move the direction selector into the neutral position.
- Step two: Pull the wheel knob away from the body. This disengages the internal mechanism, allowing the chain to roll freely upward and downward.”
Freewheel Mechanism Explanation:
Notice that attempting to push the knob straight in won’t work. The internal mechanism is purposely offset about 1/3 of a turn to prevent accidental engagement during this operation.
Reengaging the Lever:
To reengage the lever, follow these steps:
- Stop the chain from moving by holding both lines of chain together.
- Turn the knob clockwise until it engages the hoist.
Now, the hoist is ready for operation. Use the direction lever to choose the desired lifting direction.”

Alternatively, if there’s a load on the hook:
- Tighten the load chain until it stops the chain from moving.
- Roll the wheel knob until it drops into gear.
