VGD Clevis Slip Hook with Latch

The G100 Clevis Slip Hook with Latch is designed for overhead lifting in various applications. Its clevis head fitting connects directly to an overhead lifting chain, reducing the need for extra components and minimizing sling weight. The hook comes with a heavy-duty forged latch for added protection and durability, reducing the need for frequent replacement. Manufactured and proof load tested to EN 1677-4 standards, each hook is individually marked with manufacturer and batch code numbers, ensuring compliance with or exceeding ASTM standards. With a design factor of 4:1, the hook is proof tested and certified, offering reliable performance. Made from quenched and tempered alloy steel, this hook provides at least 25% greater Working Load Limit (WLL) than traditional G80 products. It is manufactured in accordance with EN 1677-2 and ASME B30.26 standards, ensuring high-quality and safe operation. Additionally, it is fatigue-rated to 20,000 cycles at 1.5 times the WLL, offering long-term durability. The hook undergoes Magnaflux crack detection, ensuring that each batch is free from defects. With a tempering temperature of a minimum of 400°C, this hook is designed to withstand demanding lifting applications while ensuring safety and reliability.

VGD Clevis Grab Hook

The G100 Clevis Grab Hook is designed for overhead lifting in a wide range of applications. Its clevis head fitting connects directly to an overhead lifting chain, eliminating the need for additional components and reducing the overall weight of the sling. This hook allows for easy adjustment or shortening of leg lengths when used as part of an assembly, providing flexibility in rigging setups. Manufactured and proof load tested to EN 1677-4 standards, each hook is individually marked with manufacturer and batch code numbers, ensuring compliance with or exceeding ASTM standards. This ensures that the hook meets rigorous safety and quality requirements for overhead lifting applications. The G100 Clevis Grab Hook combines strength, durability, and ease of use, making it a reliable choice for various lifting tasks. Its design allows for efficient and secure lifting operations while maintaining safety and compliance with industry standards.

VGD VQ Grade 100 Self locking Swivel Hook

VGD LockMaster Hook

The VGD LockMaster Hook is designed for overhead lifting in various applications, offering versatility and safety features for reliable performance. It is commonly used with overhead lifting chain assemblies but can also be used for wire rope bridles, web slings bridles, and synthetic rope assemblies, thanks to its oversized swivel eye.

The swivel eye is designed for positioning only and will not swivel under load, ensuring stability during lifts. The hook features a trigger kit that is recessed for increased safety, releasing only when unloaded. Once loaded, the hook will close and remain closed until the load is unloaded, providing a secure lifting solution.

Manufactured and proof load tested to EN 1677-4 standards, each hook is individually marked with manufacturer and batch code numbers, ensuring compliance with or exceeding ASTM standards. This ensures that the hook meets stringent safety and quality requirements for overhead lifting applications.

When considering Vanguard’s VGD Grade 100 rigging, here are five reasons to keep in mind:
  1. Safety: Vanguard’s VGD Grade 100 rigging is designed with safety as a top priority. The positive locking latch on the LockMaster Hook ensures that loads are securely held during lifts, providing peace of mind to operators.

  2. Quality: Vanguard has a reputation for producing high-quality rigging equipment that meets or exceeds industry standards. The VGD Grade 100 rigging is quenched and tempered before proof testing, ensuring maximum strength and durability.

  3. Versatility: The VGD Grade 100 rigging is designed to be versatile, with the LinkLock connecting link connectors providing fast and easy assembly for a range of applications. The connectors can be used to connect eye and eye swivel hooks and master links to grade 100 chains.

  4. Durability: Vanguard’s VGD Grade 100 rigging is built to last, with the LockMaster Hook and LinkLock connectors designed to withstand the rigors of heavy lifting. The rigging is also designed to resist wear and tear, ensuring long-term reliability.

  5. Certification: Vanguard’s VGD Grade 100 rigging meets or exceeds OSHA, Government, NACM, and ASTM specs, ensuring that it meets the highest industry standards for safety and performance. Additionally, all VGD Grade 100 rigging products are accompanied by a product test certificate, providing further assurance of quality and reliability.

When inspecting Grade 100 rigging, consider the following three key aspects:
  1. Condition of the Equipment: Check for any signs of wear, damage, or deformation on the rigging components, including hooks, links, and chains. Look for cracks, bends, or elongation that could indicate overloading or fatigue. Ensure that the equipment is clean and free from corrosion, which can weaken the rigging.

  2. Proper Functioning: Test the rigging components for proper functioning, such as the locking mechanism on hooks or the spring bush on connecting links. Ensure that all components move freely and operate as intended.

  3. Certifications and Documentation: Inspect the rigging for any certifications or markings that indicate compliance with industry standards, such as OSHA, Government, NACM, and ASTM specs. Additionally, check for accompanying documentation, such as product test certificates, that provide assurance of the rigging’s quality and performance.
